Open New audit and choose the workflow that matches the work. Select an existing customer and asset, or create them without leaving the form; newly created records are selected automatically. Preview the workflow to check its stages, fields, photo ranges, choices, and acknowledgements. Start the audit and capture each required item in the guided order. For before-and-after work, complete the first stage and return for the second. For record-only work, complete the single visit. Review required fields, finish the audit, then open the report and confirm the record before sharing it.

What this workflow helps you record

To create a first audit, choose the closest workflow, assign the customer and asset, preview every requirement, capture the guided evidence, complete the required stages, and review the finished report.

This tutorial is for new AuditIt administrators, operators, and field users who want a dependable first run from setup to completed record.

Choose the right workflow shape

Choose record-only for one visit or observation. Choose before and after when the same subject needs two defined condition stages, such as handover and return.

Set up the audit

  1. Open New audit and choose the closest starter or custom workflow.
  2. Select a customer and asset, creating either one in place if needed.
  3. Preview the stages, fields, photo ranges, choices, and acknowledgements.
  4. Start capture, complete all required stages, and review the final report.

Use the key fields

Customer and asset

Use the correct context before capture; a newly created customer or asset is selected automatically.

Workflow preview

Check field labels, required states, photo minimums and maximums, select options, and stage behavior.

Completion and report

Resolve required items, mark the audit complete, and review the generated record before sharing it.

Review the result

A successful first audit appears as complete, not resumable, once all required work is submitted. Open its report and check context, stages, evidence, and acknowledgements.

Start with a workflow that fits

AuditIt includes ready-made audit workflow templates. Use one as provided, tailor it to your process, or build your own workflow from scratch.

Direct answers

Frequently asked questions

What happens after I create a customer or asset?

The newly created record is automatically selected so you can continue creating the audit without searching again.

Why should I preview the workflow first?

Preview shows required fields, photo ranges, select options, acknowledgements, and whether one or two stages are expected.

Why does a completed audit not show Resume?

Completed audits should show their completed state and report action; Resume is reserved for work that is still open.
